Thailand and Kagoshima Bonded by “Kagoshima Cha”
On Monday, November 25, 2013, SAKURAJIMA was invited to become the MC of the training about tea export that the provincial agricultural office organized for Kagoshima Prefectural Tea Industry Woman’s Group under the topic of “Thailand and Kagoshima Bonded by “Kagoshima Cha”.
Knowing the news from a newspaper about the company’s export of green tea to Thailand, the tea manufacturer association and the provincial agricultural office of Kagoshima were interested in the operation of SAKURAJIMA. So, they asked SAKURAJIMA to talk about the idea to start the business and the company’s operation. The participants in this event were 25 members of industry woman’s group and tea manufacturers in Kagoshima. Many people were surprised that Thai people actually drank tea and were also surprised that green tea drinking became more popular in Thailand. After the lecture, many participants would like to visit Thailand and get to know Thailand better.
As for the topic of the training, the official from the provincial agricultural office who was in charge of this event came up with this topic that suited the objectives of SAKURAJIMA’s establishment which started from the love of green tea and the desire to become a part which helps create a stronger bond between Thai people and Kagoshima people.
