On May 31 and June 1, 2013, SAKURAJIMA, together with the team of Kru Toom - Preenan Nan from Soulmade Yoga & Tearoom, organized the activity called "Yoga and Japanese Green Tea for Health" at Soulmade Yoga & Tearoom in Soi Ekamai 12 in the heart of Bangkok.
On the first day which was May 31, 2013, there were 6 participants which were 4 Thais, 1 Indian guest and 1 English guest. As for the location, Soulmade Yoga & Tearoom is located in Soi Ekamai 12 in the center of Bangkok. We would like to thank Kru Toom - Preenan Nana so much for creating such a warm and friendly atmosphere as if we were at home. We could rest and relax from the crowd, the rush and the heat outside. The first hour was about practicing yoga, and the next hour was the time for tea sipping when we could relax our mind with green tea and listen to stories about Japanese green tea. On this day, there were some foreigners attending the activity so we lectured in English, the language that everyone understood. The lecture started from self-introduction, the history of Japanese green tea, different types of Japanese green tea and the selection of foods or snacks to suit each type of tea. Most importantly, SAKURAJIMA shared a tip on how to make delicious green tea which was not as hard as people thought. Every participant had a chance to practice making green tea after the lecture.
The participants were interested and had so many questions about green tea, including the properties of green tea, the flavors of green tea and the difference between so many types of green tea in the market.
On the second day which was June 1, 2013, there were 15 participants in total, including 14 Thais and 1 Japanese guest. On this day, most of the lecture was in Thai. Only some minor parts of the lecture were in Japanese. The attendants had a lot of questions, making the atmosphere fun and friendly just like talking with people who had the same interest. Most of the participants knew Matcha and understood that it was the representative of Japanese green tea. It seemed to be the first time that the participants had a chance to experience different types of Japanese green tea. Only the Japanese guest was already familiar with green tea. Among the attendants on both days, there were about 4 of them who were interested in green tea and waited to participate in the green tea session in particular.
We would like to thank Kru Toom - Preenan Nana, the team from Soulmade Yoga & Tearoom and all the participants for a good time that we spent for health and relaxation together. SAKURAJIMA is willing to and really hopes to organize such a great event like this in order to meet, to talk and to relax with everyone again.
